Sea looked good for windsurfing but shore dump on jetty, not too bad but with small wind shadow at beach didn't want to risk windsurfing. Started walking with kite bag and saw sea dropping faster than expected so got 94l/5.3m windsurfer and launched off safer sand. Loads of small 2 foot waves, quite a few waist height and a few shoulder height to ride backside off in onshore wind. 4.7m would have been better, and maybe smaller board too, but still some good rides if you hunted out good spots over sandbanks in dropping tide. Good and tiring couple of hours with Howard and Dave kiting; John, Seb and Gary windsurfing.
Best waves are around mid tide in NEs.
